About Dr Mumtaz Khan

I completed my 6-year Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree with honors from the University of Western Australia, Perth in 2007.

I completed 3 years of internship and resident training at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Perth.

In 2015 at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Perth I completed a 6-month general fellowship focusing on upper gastrointestinal surgery including bariatric surgery, liver transplants and kidney transplants.

I have worked as a specialist anaesthetist in Perth since August 2017. I have a public appointment at the Fiona Stanley Hospital Fremantle Hospital Group and also work at the majority of the large private hospitals in Perth.

I perform volunteer cardiac anaesthesia at the Tahir Heart Institute in Pakistan regularly throughout the year.
